Internet Child Preditor Arrested

On Monday, November 3, 2008, the Jackson County Sheriffʼs Office, Crimes Against Children Unit made its seventh arrest.  

Sheriff David Lucas and Investigator Ricky Morales traveled to Jonesboro, Arkansas, and executed a search warrant at the Holiday Inn for Mr. James Paul Morrison, 48, of Crawfordville, Indiana.   James Paul Morrison began talking to Investigator Ricky Morales who was working an undercover investigation as a 14-year-old female on October 8, 2008.  After a month of investigation to obtain a search warrant for Morrisonʼs room a search was conducted and an arrest was made.    James Paul Morrison is being held at the Jackson County Sheriffʼs Office on charges of Internet Stalking of A Child, Sexual Indecency with a Child, and Computer Child Pornography.  Morrison appeared before Newport District Judge, Barbara Griffin on Wednesday, November 5, 2008, were his bond was set in the amount of $30,000.00 and he was bound over to Jackson County Circuit Court on December 19, 2008.
